Summary
Axip Energy Services is a provider of natural gas compression services to the upstream and midstream customers, with a fleet of over 500,000 horsepower and operations in all major US basins. The Account Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of a sales plan and achieving sales in line with the growth and profit targets in the targeted Basins. The expectation is to deliver high-quality, profitable growth and entrenchment with target customers based upon Axip’s differentiators and service capabilities.
The successful candidate is a dynamic, driven individual with the ability to work independently to meet team objectives and a deep curiosity and passion for delivering a best-in-class customer experience. It is essential that the Account Manager possesses both sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the management level as well as with facility and operations engineers. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the current customer priorities and technical challenges and to convey compelling technical solutions to them.
This position reports to the VP, Sales & Business Development with a primary focus on large independents and private operators in the Permian Basin. This position will be based in Midland TX working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Identify high potential prospects and channel partners upholding the Axip value proposition and communicating through presentations and marketing materials.
- Maintain a consultative relationship with the customer base to ensure renewal of contracts as they come due during the year.
- Use customer and internal stakeholder feedback to optimize business processes to create a best-in-class customer experience.
- Leading, with the support of Axip operations team members and technical SMEs, performance and technical discussions and getting to resolutions that comply with contractual agreements, solve problems, and leave Axip and our customers positioned for growth and success.
- Identify opportunities to create collaborative, co-branded materials with customers such as white papers, case studies, and industry journal articles.
- The Account Manager’s performance will be subject to certain key performance metrics, which will be determined by the VP Sales and Account Management as appropriate.
- Make informed judgments of value to the customer for developing pricing proposals regarding highly customized products, for which easy benchmarks are often unavailable. Negotiate other terms and conditions.
- Participate in forecasting, billing, and contractual discussions to ensure business feedback is appropriately reflected in billing and financial models.
- Responsible for following up with customer on past due invoices and aiding accounts payable in collections to help customer base remain current. Responsible for follow up to conclusion of disputed invoices.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of key competitors offering and leverage Axip's strengths.
- Maintain integrity of Axip image, philosophy, and methods in all communications.
