Position Title : Welding Engineer
Position Summary :
The Welding Engineering Intern will be deeply involved in the design, specification, and implementation of custom automated welding machinery. Throughout their time, an intern can expect to produce pre-process and post-process weld documentation, participate in internal destructive testing and evaluation, and aid in solutions-oriented troubleshooting and process improvements.
Responsibilities Include :
- Design, implement, and document welding and joining systems for various types of welding automated equipment.
- Creation and revision of customer required welding documents including WPS, PQR, weld Maps, and destructive Testing.
- Creation and revision of internal and external welding specifications for a variety of processes.
- Inspection on all automated welding completed in house.
- Generate conceptual solutions for problems with no previous or standard solution.
- Analyze the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
- Must be a team player with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors.
- Troubleshoot weld, joining, wiring, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits issues.
- Learn and perform basic programming skills.
