How does this role contribute to our collective success?

AXIS is seeking a Claims Value Stream Lead to join our Business Technology Services (BTS) division, focusing on supporting claims operations and our claims value stream in a fast-paced Agile environment. This position will be crucial in driving the optimization and transformation of claims processes, aligning the technical delivery teams with business goals. The Claims Value Stream Lead will collaborate closely with Claims senior leadership to translate their needs into actionable IT capabilities, ensuring value through Agile delivery practices and effective resource management.

What will you do in this role?

  • Oversee the health of the overall Value Stream, ensuring alignment with business goals, cost expectations, and benefits.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive value stream roadmap in collaboration with business leadership.
  • Partner with product owners, RTEs, and technical leads to deliver customer-facing features and enhance the system landscape.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, providing support to remove barriers and ensuring teams have necessary resources.
  • Partner with business leaders during annual planning and budgeting processes.
  • Manage and resolve risks and issues that impact release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Coordinate work between diverse teams and locations throughout the value stream.
  • Negotiate, plan, and manage all activities within the value stream.
  • Own the relationship with Claims leadership, fostering a positive, results-driven environment.
  • Foster Agile adoption and mentor Agile teams, ensuring continuous improvement in the claims processes.
  • Measure and report on value stream performance metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to optimize claims cycle times.

About You:

What you need to have:

  • 5 years of progressive IT delivery leadership with senior leadership engagement.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the insurance domain, particularly P&C claims.
  • Proven experience with SDLC lifecycles and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Background in designing, developing, and implementing IT systems within claims operations.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead change initiatives and promote Agile practices across the organization.
  • A continuous learning mindset, staying updated on Agile trends and insurance innovations.
  • Travel may be required for this role.

Role Factors:

In this role, you will typically be required to:

Embrace the hybrid culture offered at AXIS, you need to be in office 3 days per week.

Much of the work involves using computers for data entry, analysis, and communication. Comfort with prolonged screen time is necessary.

While much of the work may be desk-bound, there might be occasions requiring mobility within the office environment, such as attending meetings or accessing filing systems.

What we offer:

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $205K to $255K for New York, $190K to $240K for Redbank and $170K to $205K for Alpharetta. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. On top of this, you will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and much more.

Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is Exempt for FLSA purposes.

Salary : $205,000 - $255,000
