How does this role contribute to our collective success?
As a member of the AXIS actuarial reserving team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing one of the company's largest and riskiest liabilities : casualty loss reserves. You will be exposed to a wide variety of insurance products and actuarial reserving techniques. Your expertise will enhance our team's ability to leverage individual claim and policy data, implementing advanced actuarial methods to swiftly identify and respond to changing market dynamics.
What will you do in this role?
Quarterly Reserving
- You conduct comprehensive quarterly reserving analyses for the Casualty segment. You develop and maintain models to project ultimate losses and present findings to management.
- You engage in ad-hoc reserve and profitability studies on specific lines of business. Analyze underwriting and claim trends, shifts in business mix, changes in limits or retentions, and examine loss development patterns.
- You support the selection of plan loss ratios by evaluating historical experience, loss trend and rate change, working closely with pricing actuaries and underwriting teams

Follow the corporate and team guidance on in-office attendance. Our group currently targets 2-3 days per week on average.
What we offer :
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $140k to $175k (NY), $125k-$160k (IL), $115k to $145k (GA). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. On top of this, you will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and much more.
Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is Exempt for FLSA purposes.
Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
