Our mission is to transform analytics data into powerful cloud-based insights and products for users worldwide. The current focus is to build dashboards based on our analytics data. This includes backend-, frontend-,[GO1]  and device software development.

We work in smaller agile sub-teams to promote self-sufficiency and empowerment and trust our engineers and teams to create awesome analytics solutions in a sustainable way.

We strongly believe in collaboration, exchange of knowledge and having fun together. We are a diverse team regarding personalities and years in the business. Our teams are working full stack with a scope all the way from the device to the user interface.

What you’ll do here as Software Developer

Your task will be to ensure that the analytics tech stacks that our sister teams develop are accessible for our users. This means that you will have the chance to work with many different teams and products within Axis, both in Lund and in our other R&D sites in Linköping and Sophia Antipolis.

You will have the chance to work with various tools and languages, including Rust, TypeScript, SQL, Python, GitHub, and databases. We work in Linux environments.

What we believe you will bring to the team

We think you are a software developer who has a big interest in programming and is used to working with several types of programming languages. Our team is quite experienced, and we hope that you can complement us with your own background and experience.

As a person, we believe that you are curious and driven with a deep interest in Software Development. You respect all individuals and don’t put yourself in front of others. We don’t believe in giving you an exact specification on what to do, we want to benefit from the intelligence and skills of each team member to come up with answers to our questions.

A big part of Axis’s success is our teamwork and personal interactions, which means that we are looking for someone who enjoys working in teams and interacting with other teams.

Who will be your manager?

As a manager and leader my most important task is to make sure that you and your team members are enabled to be successful. I am transparent and expect transparency from you. Failing is an important part of what we do, but we fail fast, and we learn from it so we can improve and be even more successful.

My door is always open, and I am open for any discussions. At the same time, I believe in independence and self-leadership for all team members. The people and their knowledge are what makes us successful.
