SALARY: $25.00 - $27.00 PER HOUR
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, performs a variety of Human Resources functions including clerical, technical, and administrative duties. Performs a variety of tasks requiring specialized knowledge related to the area of assignment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

- Protects company operations by keeping human resource information confidential. Assist in managing sensitive and confidential matters such as employee relations and organizational changes.
- Administer the termination process for exiting staff members.
- Post open positions to external websites. Ensure jobs are accurately posted and refreshed.
- Assist with phone screens, setting up interviews, and onboarding.
- Responds to inquiries from employees, and process employment information/verification requests consistent with confidentiality requirements.
- Administer and track continuing education benefits for providers, and education reimbursement for employees.
- Submit monthly anniversary, new hire, and promotions reports for Axis Insider
- Conduct semi-annual, annual, and periodic audits to ensure all state and federal compliance posters are hung at every site.
- Generates periodic reports on employee data, and prepares other ad hoc reports.
- Updating Outlook company directory to reflect all staff changes.
- Add IT-issued equipment to HRIS.
- Maintaining shared HR drive by updating with most recent documents.
- Providing general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, post office runs, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, tracking deadlines, filing, and taking down minutes as needed.
- Fielding issues and inquiries in the unavailability of CAO and other HR staff if appropriate.
- Staff member’s badge creation and submission of employee photos to IT.
- Participate in staff meetings, attend other meetings and training events as assigned.
- May be required to perform other related duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to understand and apply labor-related California and Federal laws, reporting, and human resources practices and principles.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, employee relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and complete multiple tasks to achieve designated objectives within deadlines.
- Excellent writing, communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as on a team.
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM with minimal errors.
- Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor and must represent the organization in a positive manner at all times.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships.
- Must be able to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Must be able to be at work regularly and on time.
- Must be a dynamic self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently or in a group setting.

- Must have good computer skills using Microsoft Office and the ability to use Axis departmental systems.
- Must be able to use office equipment (i.e. copier, fax etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education/Experience - High School diploma.
- Preferred, minimum one year of work experience in Human Resources, office management, or equivalent education in HR.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Work is normally performed in a typical clinic office work environment (and in some cases telecommuting sites). The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical: Occasionally required to carry/lift/push/pull/move up to 20lbs. Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, reaching over shoulder, reaching over head, reaching outward, sitting, walking on various surfaces, standing and bending. Occasional travel to other Axis health centers and other occasional travel will be required.
Equipment: Frequently required to use repetitive motion of hands and feet to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, copier and other office equipment for extended periods.
Sensory: Frequently required to read documents, written reports and signage. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the phone, interacting with staff etc. Must be able to speak clearly, understand normal communication, and to be understood.
Cognitive: Must be able to analyze information being received, count accurately, concentrate and focus on the given task, summarize the information being received, accurately interpret written data, synthesize information from multiple sources, write summaries as needed, interpret written or verbal instructions, and recognize social or professional behavioral cues.
Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office (medical clinic/office) environments. Rare exposure to dust and loud noises.
