Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shop Supervisor to join our team at Axis Electric, LLC. In this role, you will oversee daily operations in our shop, manage and maintain equipment and inventory and handle general maintenance. Your role will be vital in the success of our business.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shop activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage day-to-day operations in the shop.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate deliveries and shipment with suppliers.
- General equipment and shop maintenance.
- Perform general tasks assigned by Supervisor.
- Operating and maintaining the tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.
- Prepare reports on equipment usage and location status.
- Maintaining inventory.
- Track and organize incoming and outgoing material and inventory for each job.
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents regarding tools and equipment for job sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the electrical contracting industry.
- Strong Knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
- Willing to obtain proper licenses for operating equipment.
Preferred
- CDL license
- Forklift license
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
