To help us drive excellence, the Customer Service Representative will get to:
- Communicate with departments, production, and shipping areas to ensure customer requirements are met on time.
- Understand and meet all customer demands and requirements.
- Work with materials, shipping, and production teams to maintain 100% delivery performance and ensure shipments are made according to customer specifications.
- Maintain data entry, including emails, and update QAD as it applies to shipping and customer orders.
- Interact daily with customer systems according to policies.
- Maintain company accounts, investigating differences and adjusting as required.
- Assist Quality Department staff to ensure quality parts are shipped to customers.
- Make daily contact with carriers to schedule and cancel trucks.
- Prepare and verify customer orders.
- Pull customer orders, tag parts, scan orders, and operate scales.
- Support production as needed.
- Perform other department duties, load and unload trucks, and serve as backup to other departmental staff and Shipping/Receiving Hilo Drivers.
- Understand label processes.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and associates sometimes prioritizing tasks within the department for other associates.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly; maintain 5S.
- Adhere to MIOSHA and L&W Engineering's Safety Standards.
- Assume other duties as directed by Supervisor or as needed to ensure tasks within the department are covered.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Perform all duties and operate machinery and equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, earplugs, etc.).

Education and/or Experience:
- High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
