Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager provides direct nursing services for clinic patients, as well as general oversight and coordination of Medical Assistants and the health support team for their assigned clinic or program. Nursing duties may include triage, chronic care management, preventative care, patient education, infection prevention and immunizations for patients across the lifespan. Manager duties include ensuring health support staff are trained and achieve competencies, oversight of the CLIA waived lab, inventory and ordering of medical supplies, and supporting effective workflows for patient care. The RN manager requires critical thinking, clinical skills, attention to detail and strong leadership skills.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Supervision of Medical Assistants and other Health support staff which may include RNs, LPNs.

- Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Nursing; Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum Experience: 3 Years of Nursing Experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care, primary care or psychiatric care; Preferred Experience: 2 Years Experience in a Supervisory/Leadership Role.
- Minimum License/Certification: Current unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of CO;
- Additional Certifications: BLS, CPI
- Employee Health Requirements: Annual TB screening, annual FLU immunization, HEP B
- Must have current driver’s license and ability to be commercially insured and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with Axis commercial insurance agency.
- Advanced Microsoft computer skills required.
- Must provide exceptional customer service for internal and external parties.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail is essential.
Salary: $79,040 - $93,725 annualized and considers preferred experience.

Physical demands:
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move 15 pounds up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Nursing Core Job Duties:
- Provides nursing direct care (acute and chronic) across the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatric nursing care. This includes but is not limited to care coordination, direct nursing intervention, medication/vaccine administration, treatments, sterilization, assessment, testing, procedures, phlebotomy, patient education, wound care, responding to emergencies.
- Performs clinical assessment and critical thinking for patient triage by phone, in person or electronically utilizing approved protocols.
- Regularly assists providers with chronic care management and care plan updates for patients who have complex needs.
- Maintains knowledge of the uses and effects of medications and immunizations, including long acting injectable medication.
- Completes all clinical documentation within expected timeframes.
Manager Core Job Duties:
- Provides day to day oversight, leadership and coordination of health support staff, ensuring: adequate coverage for provider support, assigned tasks are completed and effective workflows are developed and followed.
- Completes training and competencies for assigned Medical Assistants and support staff.
- Responsible for hiring staff, providing ongoing feedback to staff, scheduling regular individual check-ins with staff, facilitating team meetings, monitoring performance, and addressing any performance concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintains compliance and quality control for programs at assigned clinic/s, which may include CLIA waived lab, vaccine program, Medication storage/inventory/administration, and/or Title X Family Planning Program.
- Maintains inventory for medical supplies, laboratory supplies, vaccines, and medications and completes orders using the Axis procurement management system.
- Participates in Quality program initiatives and contributes to meeting organization quality goals.
- Serves as the on-site clinic infection prevention coordinator, which includes educating staff, ensuring adherence to infection control standards and procedures and required tracking/reporting.
- Collaborates with RN Manager team for cross coverage across clinics and ensuring consistent practices are implemented at all clinic locations.

General Management Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Position is a strategic member of the Management Team. Must demonstrate leadership qualities, collegial relationships with other members of the management team.
- Key Performance Indicators: Employee meets targets related to the KPI indicators established for the year.
- Essential Learning Assignments: Staff for with the Manager is responsible completes Essential Learning assignments by the due date.
- Performance Evaluations: Manager is responsible for providing ongoing feedback to staff on accomplishments, achievement toward goals, and performance concerns on a quarterly basis, at minimum, and feedback is documented in the Paycom Employee Management system.
