2. Job Summary
- The Process Technician will work within the AP Team Model, taking responsibility for specific operational areas. The goal is to ensure reliable production equipment, minimize downtime, optimize resources, and meet efficiency requirements through a continuous improvement approach to maintenance processes.
3. Immediate Supervisor
- This position reports directly to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor
4. Performance Standards
- Complying with policies and procedures.
- Interacting with other employees,suppliers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Communicating work progress and significantissues to the immediate supervisor.
5. Responsibilities
- Do the Process Technician checklist.
- Complete Daily Activities Report.
- Perform Corrective Maintenance activities.
- Create PM Notification.
- Supervise the Contractor activities.
- Follow up and close work orders assigned.
- Assist to operation demands.
- Request spare parts and material to the planners and anticipate any extraordinary consumption.
- Lead, validate and approve preventive and corrective maintenance or activities to technical personnel
- Ensure the correct use of specific tools and spare parts necessary to carry out maintenance activities for production equipment.
- Guarantee the reliability of the equipment assigned.
- Read blueprints schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of the assembly.
- Make improvements of the maintenance process and production equipment.
- Work with Reliability Department to perform Root Cause Analysis. * Maintain order and cleanliness (5s).
- Work with the AP Team on both shifts to give the proper support.
- Comply with all legal requirements and internal standards, as well as safety and environmental regulations.
- Ensure and contribute to the fulfillment of client requirements.
- Comply with quality requirements.
- Follow equipment manufacturer manuals.
- Support maintenance activities in other areas as needed.
- Control of gauges: Labeling and ID.
- Parameter control of the equipment.
- Develop and update WI of current and new equipment with the support of Continuous Improvement Department.
- Make sure all safety fixtures work properly and validate safety procedures.
- Complete any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
6. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Associate or Technical Degree in related field (Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electromechanics or similar).
- Two years of experience in a similar position or Maintenance (electrical or mechanical).
- Must be able to read and understand the Procedures and Work Instructions for the position held.
- Moderate PC Skills in Microsoft Applications, i.e., MS Word, Excel.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.

7. Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
8. Physical Requirements
- The employee is occasionally requiredto sit. The employee must regularly liftand/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, andoccasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
