- Position Summary
AXIS Wholesale Lower Middle Market business unit is seeking a dynamic career-minded individual to join a strategic team of professional underwriters operating in one of the fastest growing areas of the Excess and Surplus Lines industry.
Under Executive Vice President (EVP) and Vice President (VP) supervision, the individual will act within established guidelines to actively market, analyze, review, evaluate and monitor new and renewal E&S Primary Casualty accounts.
Within a progressive work environment, the individual will be responsible for the development, growth, and profitability of a targeted middle market focused E&S Primary Casualty book of business.
The desired candidate should be recognized for their strength in new business development, client relationships, technical analysis, integrity, creativity, and the highest level of work ethic. Business results will be driven through strong underwriting analysis, very active sales and marketing efforts, long-term client relationship building, and collaborative engagement with internal business partners.
The position location can be either in AXIS Alpharetta, GA (Avalon) or Chicago, IL (Wills / Sears Tower) office. Both offices are located within highly desirable areas of each city and they both offer an open and highly collaborative work environment in a very modern setting. For this role, we're looking at a base salary between $100,000 and $137,000 in Greater Atlanta, and $105,000 to $145,000 in Greater Chicago. The exact number will depend on your experience and where you'll be working. On top of that, everyone gets competitive incentive targets, with rewards based on both company and individual performance.
