Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bonita Springs, FL (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES.
Position Overview:
Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components and systems using PTC Creo. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and model mechanical components and assemblies using PTC Creo.
Create and revise detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models in accordance with company and industry standards.
Perform tolerance analysis, stack-ups, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to optimize product performance and manufacturability.
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly).
Support prototype development and participate in testing and validation activities.
Maintain accurate BOMs (Bills of Materials) and documentation.
Provide engineering support during production launch and post-launch activities.
Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
4 years of experience in Mechanical Design using Creo.
Technical Skills Required:
Proficiency in Creo Parametric including modeling, surfacing, assemblies and drawing creation.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, materials and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) is a plus.
Understanding of thermal, structural, or fluid dynamics analysis (using tools like Ansys, Simulate).
Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
Familiarity with international design standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and communication.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
