Title : AGV / AMR Engineer
Location : Decatur, IL (100% Onsite)
Employment Type : Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES.
Role And Responsibilities
Responsible for inspection, repair, and diagnostic of AGVs.
Continuously learns, innovates, and designs solutions and techniques.
Supports leadership decisions and contributes to team success.
Generates AGV layouts, implements traffic rules, optimizes machine parameters, calibrates autonomous / semi-autonomous machines, and tests software on actual devices.
Provides both logistical and technical insight to create solutions that provide optimal automation performance.
Translates main production requirements into logistical AGV solutions, including layout and traffic optimization, machine performance improvement, and using existing infrastructure in the most efficient configuration.
Supports the deployment of AGV systems and commissions the equipment.
Analyzes and modifies traffic logic to optimize material flow to the production lines.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's Degree with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or other similar related major required.
Experience : 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge : Ability to evaluate a problem and generate a solution. Working knowledge of applications such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, code editors, and additional internal software (i.e. Smartwip, ACS, GMES, etc.).
Skills : AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Programming knowledge, PLC knowledge, Arduino. Must demonstrates strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. Must have the ability to act independently and generate innovative solutions to complex problems.
