Packer – Axium Packaging, LLC

Position Summary: Packers are responsible for the production and/or packaging of plastics bottles at Axium Plastics. The Packer position is a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to injection molding, High-Density Polyethylene, quality, and packaging.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations, and sorting

• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the assigned Quality control department

• Execute and document quality inspections per Standard Operating Procedures

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

• Perform related duties as required by supervision

• Additional duties as required

Position Requirements:

• May be required to stand for extended periods of time

• May involve some repetitive motions

• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds

• Must be able to pull to 50 pounds

• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization

• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products

• Maintain the production pace of other team members

• Packing, quality and/or warehouse experience is preferred but not required

• Demonstrate a concern for safety, following OSHA regulations and company policies

Available Shifts & Scheduling:

· 1st Shift: 12:00 am - 8:00 am

· 3rd Shift: 4:00pm to 12:00 am

· Working on weekends required

· Overtime Available
