Position Summary:
We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Footwear Division. This is a unique opportunity to bring your distinctive touch to a dynamic team, that is already part of a well-established company. You will partner with design and merchandising, as well as collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments across the company. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters in the garment district of New York City and reports directly to the Head of Footwear Sales.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Expand sales through mid-tier retail channels
- Manage existing retail clients and acquire new accounts through contacts, research, and other strategic methods of acquisition
- Collaborate with brand licensors and leverage brand marketing with other licensees
- Develop and present compelling presentations to retail clients
- Track sell-through of product at retailers, manage replenishment to maximize sales
- Research and analyze target customers and key retail customers for use in presentations
- Coordinate with production department on samples, production times and product approvals from retailer
- Communicate with shipping department on delivery dates and any potential discrepancies/issues to ensure deadlines are met
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in similar role in footwear sales
- Experience working with mid-tier, family channel, or department store accounts
- Strong collaboration and experience working with cross functional teams
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and provide exceptional customer service through demanding situations
- Strong attention to detail and organization with a high work ethic
- Entrepreneurial nature and self-motivated
- Thrives in fast-paced environment
