Responsibilities:
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at AXON Networks, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure that supports our networking services. You will work closely with our development, operations, and network engineering teams to design, implement, and manage systems that ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability. Your expertise will help us deliver a seamless and reliable experience for our users and partners.

Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-availability networking infrastructure.

Optimize performance of core network components, APIs, and data pipelines.

Automate infrastructure management using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

Proactively identify and resolve performance/reliability issues.

Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.

Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident workflows.

Enforce security best practices (encryption, access control, audits).

Stay updated on emerging threats and mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable, reliable service design.

Promote SRE best practices (automation, CI/CD, proactive monitoring).

Document systems/processes and mentor team members on SRE principles.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

At least 2 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps or similar role.

Professional experience with any other technologies that the project may require, fx: Java, Shell, GoLang, Python, Rust, Protbuf, etc.

Professional experience with Nginx, HAProxy, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.

Know your way around Linux and Unix Shell.

Comfort and familiarity with the code review process.

Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely fast pace engineering organization.
