Your Impact:
As an Axon Business Development Director for the Federal Security market, you’re responsible for driving the development and execution of business development and capture management for strategic opportunities, initiation, formation of strategic partnerships to win major opportunities and/or strategically grow the business, long term strategic planning and growth of Civilian agencies in Security sales. You will heavily work with and impact every aspect of the civilian community.
What You Do:
- Lead Axon Federal business development strategic initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy, as well as manage multiple business development initiatives concurrently.
- Develop relationships with new and existing Federal Civilian Agency customers.
- Establish and execute a capture management business development process, including the development of customer contact plans, strengthening of customer relationships, determining key decision makers, and mapping win strategies.
- Work independently to pursue development of new business prospects and win major strategic opportunities.
- Establish and drive marketing campaign plans for the civilian market with messaging and themes for tradeshows, conferences, publications, etc.
- Provide accurate and timely long-term forecasting of business.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preference for Graduate level education, (e.g. MBA, MPA, MS, etc.)
- A developed network of Civilian Agency engagement (DOI, DHS, FBI, ATF and DEA, etc.)
- Experience as a Senior Executive leading programs and initiatives with regional or agency application focused on operations navigating agency finances, logistics and policy. Experience using Salesforce as a CRM tool
- Experience working with and understanding of Federal Civilian Security and Intelligence markets and customers with a preference for involvement in intra-agency programs, Departmental working groups, thought leadership associations and memberships on technology Committees
- Extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and federal government budgeting processes
- Clear, concise, and direct communication skills briefing senior business executives and customers
- Ability to provide accurate long-range forecasting of revenues, orders and margin for the Federal Security and Intelligence market
- Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Service (CJIS) background check and maintain CJIS clearance. Handle confidential and highly sensitive information.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 123,188 in the lowest geographic market and USD 197,100 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
