The Configuration Management (CM) Manager is to support a myriad of CM-related activities in support of engineering and operations. The Manager of Configuration Management will focus on various aspects related to software/hardware CM including managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) by reviewing, getting approvals, and tracking all changes through completed implementation. The Manager of Configuration Management will Join Forces collaborating cross functionally to reach engineering and operations objectives in a timely manner.
What You’ll Do
Location: Scottsdale, AZ - Hybrid (In Office in Scottsdale, AZ 2-3 days/week)
Reports to: Director, Operations Program Management

Responsibilities
- Manages the change process development and cross functional training to ensure process efficiency, simplicity, and scalability
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing constructive feedback, support, and development opportunities for the team
- Oversee the team responsible for execution of various change types including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Deviations, New Product Orders (NPOs), Prototype Change Orders (PCOs), Data Migration Orders (DMOs), etc
- Review and analyze submitted change orders and coordinate change implementation plans with Product Management, Supply Chain, R&D Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Production Control and any other affected departments
- Drive Bill of Material (BOM) configuration management during new product introduction (NPI)
- Regularly review configuration management processes; developing revisions to, or new processes, with an eye towards continuous improvement
- Develop, maintain, and improve written standard operating procedures, as well as conduct x-functional training for configuration management processes
- Collaborate across internal teams (R&D, Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing) driving stakeholder alignment when executing change management processes and developing process improvements
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in configuration management, engineering, quality, or equivalent
- Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, hardware manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to read and interpret schematics & drawings
- Good time management / project management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical and/or Mechanical drawing knowledge
- Experience with Arena PLM (or similar), MS Dynamics 365, JIRA, MS SharePoint, SolidWorks

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 97,800 in the lowest geographic market and USD 156,480 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
