Position Overview:
As part of our rapid growth, Axonius Federal Systems (wholly owned subsidiary of Axonius) is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team! As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be our customer’s main point of contact in growing their use of the product, helping them find new use cases and their liaison with support and engineering. Ultimately, you would be responsible for making sure they are a satisfied and happy Axonius customer.
This role will be responsible for deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services on the AWS platform within the FedRAMP environment. Responsibilities include configuring AWS services such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, and VPC networking for the FedRAMP environment. The role also involves monitoring and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of AWS resources, maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions, and troubleshooting and resolving AWS infrastructure, services, and application issues in the FedRAMP environment.
Additionally, the position requires collaboration with Solutions Architects to coordinate with the Axonius Inc. Infrastructure team to optimize AWS scalability. Implementing security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments is essential, as is staying up to date with AWS services, features, and best practices and recommending their adoption. The role includes supporting internal requests for cloud infrastructure information, aiding CI/CD pipeline efforts to create the hardened image for federal customers and creating and maintaining detailed documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes. Providing training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on cloud best practices is also a key responsibility.
Working directly with ISSO, FedRAMP Security Team, this role is accountable for maintaining cloud infrastructure uptime, availability, security, along with deploying new customers and responding to infrastructure base tickets.
Your daily responsibilities will be:
- Deploying and managing cloud infrastructure and services on the AWS platform for FedRAMP environment with Terraform
- Configuring and maintaining AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, and VPC networking platform for FedRAMP environment
- Monitoring and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of AWS resources
- Maintaining backup and disaster recovery solution for FedRAMP environment
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AWS infrastructure, services, and applications in the FedRAMP environment
- Collaborating with Solutions Architects to coordinate with Axonius Inc. Infrastructure team to optimize scalability on AWS
- Implementing security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments
- Keeping up to date with AWS services, features, and best practices and making recommendations for their adoption
- Evaluating new cloud infrastructure technologies
- Designing and documenting operating principles for use by other technology teams that interact with cloud infrastructure
- Designing, deploying, and operating cloud infrastructure and services for various internal (corporate) applications on behalf of other teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Security Clearance eligibility
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in a similar role
- 5 years of experience managing a cloud-based environment
- 2 years of production experience with modern DevOps tooling, including configuration management, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (e.g, Terraform, Pulumi and CloudFormation)
- 5 years experience in implementing and/or monitoring AWS Service / Appliance
- Experience deploying and operating services based on Linux containers and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
- Building and managing infrastructure that requires high availability and security
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in AWS GovCloud
- DoD networking experience
- General cloud infrastructure management experience, with emphasis on Linux and AWS
- Professional software development experience with at least one language (i.e. Python, Ruby, GoLang, Javascript)
- Knowledge of networking and macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with API’s, Authentication methods and Authorization patterns
- Monitoring and operational metrics gathering (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, or Nagios)
- Experience with data warehouse tooling and architecture (e.g., Snowflake, Fivetran, and Looker) is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew
