Position Overview: 

As part of our rapid growth, Axonius Federal Systems (wholly owned subsidiary of Axonius) is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our team! As a Solutions Engineer, you will be our customer’s main point of contact in increasing their use of the product, helping them find new use cases and being their liaison with support and engineering. You will integrate with the customer’s technical team and work on their site, as required. Ultimately, you would be responsible for making sure they are a satisfied and happy Axonius customer. 

 

As a Solutions Engineer, you will: 

  • Be an active contributor through work on various customer projects of varying size and length including short missions to strategic long ones  
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by designing, developing, and deploying Axonius products 
  • Provide effective post-sales support to our customers particular needs including researching, developing, and architecting quick solutions to prove the concept and improve customer satisfaction 
  • Confidently demonstrate and train customer staff on the Axonius platform, associate software; and new Axonius features and use cases 
  • Proactively engage with customers to find additional use cases relevant to their environment and organizational goals 
  • Work with customers and the product team on feature requests and ensure customer expectations are met in a timely manner 
  • Triage escalations of tickets from the customer support team and engage the appropriate resources to expedite a resolution for the customer 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues affecting production operations; and work with engineering to remediate related issues and provide root cause analysis to customer staff and internal stakeholders 
  • Work with customer staff to provide appropriate testing and documentation required to promote changes from testing environments to production 
  • Advise customer staff on recommended architecture and platform best practices to ensure advisor to the customer staff, recommend point-in-time use cases to address emerging cybersecurity threats 
  • Advise customer staff on appropriate use of the Axonius API and associated integrations such as the Axonius-created Splunk Technology Add-On 
  • Conduct regular meetings and EBRs with both the technical and executive customer teams 
  • Provide weekly updates to Customer Success leadership detailing critical ticket status, emerging use cases, and product engagement 
  • Build customer relationships and ensure the relationships remain positive 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • U.S. Top Secret Clearance eligible, as required by customer 
  • At least 5 years of experience in federal work environments 
  • At least 3 years combined industry experience in a customer facing role within: software and/or technology, security domains, and/or account management 
  • At least 3 years of experience in testing and documenting critical software changes from staging environments to production environments 
  • At least 4 years of experience with Python 
  • Extensive experience with a variety of technologies (such as Python, Docker, MongoDB, Bash, cloud environments)
  • Experience drafting and presenting technical documentation suitable to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Strong understanding of how Internet protocols work (HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, SSH, SMB, FTP, Telnet, LDAP/LDAPS etc.) 
  • Basic understanding of data formats and structures (JSON, CSV, SQL/NoSQL, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of networking topology, network configuration and components (firewalls, routers, etc.), endpoint security technologies (AV, EDR, malware detection etc.), cloud security principles, and vulnerability management 
  • A troubleshooting mindset, customer-obsessed approach, and strong sense of ownership over results 
  • Fast learner, able to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast paced, dynamic environment 
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to quickly develop solutions and understand complex problems 
  • Experience handling technical escalations to and from cross-functional teams 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication 

     

    Travel: 

    • If not local to the DC-metro area, flexibility to travel up to 25%; If local to the DC-metro area, flexibility to be onsite up to 50%, as required by customer

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience integrating with APIs and using the APIs in a real-world environment 
    • Basic knowledge of coding in Python, Bash, Batch, and/or PowerShell 
    • Understanding of data sets and how to effectively extract useful information 
    • Active CompTIA Security certification
