Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 12.5%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 12.5%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
About This Job
As AVP, Enterprise Risk Management at Axos Bank, you will be at the forefront of identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the bank's strategic objectives. This role involves developing and maintaining a robust enterprise risk management framework, ensuring that all potential third-party risks are effectively managed across the organization. You will collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive management to ensure the Bank's success and stability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement ERM Framework: Design and implement a comprehensive ERM framework that aligns with the bank's strategic goals
- Risk Identification and Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks of third parties
- Compliance and Monitoring: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Monitor and report on risk management activities
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely across Enterprise Risk Management and all lines of business to identify, monitor, and ensure actions related to risk assessments, applicable risks and controls, and key risk indicator monitoring are properly documented and tracked
- Reporting: Lead the preparation of risk reports for Executive Management, Board Committees and Regulators, advising them of the organization's third-party risk profile, and the suitability of the risk management framework
- Process Improvement: Advance program requirements within the Axos’ third-party risk management tool and adjacent systems. Additionally, evaluate process maps, procedures, policies, and management directives for accuracy and completeness. Proactively identify, analyze, communicate, and execute upon improvements to procedures and programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in risk management, specifically third-party risk management. Additional background in compliance / regulations is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in risk management software and tools
