Job Title : Senior Accounting Specialist Invoices and Receivables (Part-Time with opportunity to become Full-Time)

Job Summary : Axsendo Clinical Research is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to lead our in-house accounting function. This role focuses on overseeing invoices and receivables processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing operations, and fostering effective communication within the accounting team and with external partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the clinical research industry, with proven management experience and expertise in relevant accounting tools and platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Invoices and Receivables Management :
Oversee the preparation, review, and timely processing of invoices.
Ensure accurate recording and management of receivables.Monitor payment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain cash flow.Leadership and Collaboration :Lead the internal accounting function and manage a small team of accounting professionals.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners for financial matters.Foster a collaborative and communicative team environment, ensuring seamless accounting operations.Compliance and Reporting :Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to invoices and receivables.Clinical Trial Contracts and Budget Management :Demonstrate familiarity with clinical trial contracts and their financial implications.
Create and manage budgets within internal systems based on executed budgets and contracts.Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of budgets with contractual obligations.Systems and Tools :Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and platforms like Salesforce, Devana, CRIO, and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline operations.
Leverage Adobe Pro for document management and processing.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within the clinical research industry.Proven management experience, including team leadership and project oversight.Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and familiarity with industry tools like Devana, Salesforce, and CRIO.Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe Pro.Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications :
Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.Experience in process optimization and implementation of financial systems.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Work Environment :
Office-based role in either Houston, Texas, or Phoenix, Arizona.Occasional travel may be required to coordinate with external partners or attend industry events.
