What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal MFT Operations Engineer position at Axway Software SA?
Overview
We are seeking our new Principal MFT Operations Engineer to join the Axway team!
Axway is currently seeking a Cloud MFT Architect with a high level of technical expertise in industry-leading MFT solution design and architecture for SaaS implementations deployed in AWS or Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of helping organizations implement and operate mission-critical production systems. Providing quality customer support and service delivery will be a top priority for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform day-to-day Technical operational activities like implementing changes, resolving incidents, managing configurations, and administering MFT platform on Axway’s Managed Cloud
- Work on solution design and implementation in Axway managed cloud (AWS/Azure)
- Provide expert advice to L1 TechOps engineers and make sure best practices are being followed
- Work with Customer and other Axway teams on technical Architecture/implementation/escalations/Improvements
- Lead and execute application upgrade projects
- Executing DR tests and Maintenance activities
- Able to perform Capacity Planning on customer environment on Managed Cloud and provide recommendations for improving availability and cost optimization
- Manage the lifecycle of all requests and incidents that arise, driving for root cause of problems to prevent incidents from recurring
- Participate in after-hours support and implementation activities as required
- Drive to learn new things and go above and beyond the call of duty
Qualifications
- 6 years of Experience with working on MFT solution (Solution Design/ implementation/administration/operations/monitoring)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) is must
- Experience in working with Product APIs and use them for creating automation.
- Good understanding of Networking and Communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTPS)
- Experience in working with Ticketing tools like Salesforce, Service now, Jira is preferred
- Require minimal supervision and works well in Production Operations team
- Experience with supporting applications on AWS or Azure is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure on non-routine and highly complex tasks
- Prior Experience in Customer Interaction /Customer support is preferred
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve technical issues quickly
- Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe (Europe, India, US)
- Safeguard Axway and Axway customer data through compliance with Axway policies and the appropriate use of Axway equipment and facilities.
Education: Bachelors or master’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent
