What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Accountant position at Axway Software SA?
Overview
Axway is looking for a Revenue Accountant with hands on experience with Workday Financials. The Revenue Accountant will be a member of the Finance/Accounting team with responsibility for all financial aspects associated with our Revenue Recognition process. Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of the revenue recognition, billing and supporting audits while remaining compliant with IFRS 15 accounting standards. This is a very good opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a fast-paced global technology leader with the opportunity for advancement.
This is a 5 to 6 month contract position with a high probability of a conversion to permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Record sales contracts in accordance with software revenue recognition accounting policies per IFRS 15
- Perform Revenue Recognition for Cloud/SaaS agreements
- Process license, maintenance, and professional services orders
- Prepare and send invoices related to sales contracts
- Contributor to the monthly/quarterly closing process
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare monthly revenue and expense accruals
- Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate and develop working relationships across all levels of the organization within a diversified population
- Identify, communicate and resolve problems impacting the processing of commissions
- Collaborate with business partners in Sales Operations and Sales to drive accuracy and efficiency of revenue recognition and billing processes
- Safeguarding Axway and Axway customer data through compliance with Axway policies and the appropriate use of Axway equipment and facilities
Qualifications
- MUST have strong Workday processing experience/general knowledge
- Experience in IFRS 15 or ASC 606 (revenue recognition)
- Experience using Workday Financials for contracts and billing
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in Computer Software, IT, or High-Technology industry highly desirable
- Knowledgeable in Salesforce, Workday and related billing/revenue or CRM systems
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Good knowledge of standard mathematical computations
- Must be able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with many moving pieces.
- Experience with public, large private, multi-national companies and foreign entities preferred
