Description : Job Title : Operations ManagerJob Description : The Operations Manager assists with and supervises the operational and personnel activities of the facilities across campus. This position, which reports to the Director of Operations, is responsible for assisting in areas of facilities maintenance and construction, landscaping and grounds, dorms management, pest control, equipment maintenance, snow removal, inclement weather clean-up, event set-up, vendor relations, as well other responsibilities related to smooth operations.Responsibilities
- Oversee all coordination of support teams and part-time staff
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality operations and facility oversight
- Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
- Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the facilities and grounds
- Track projects, equipment, and preventative maintenance to maximize lifetimes and efficiencies
- Oversee materials and inventory, providing reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and relevant expenses?for supervisor and leadership review
- Maintaining coordination of day-to-day operations of facilities, delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Overseeing routine maintenance on facilities, making repairs as needed
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions and events
- Coordinate with the Director of Events for event execution
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors / contractors
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces
- Vendor management, obtain quotes, and enter requisitions into our procurement system.Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in an operations management position
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, effectively multitasks, and juggle priorities while remaining flexible to meet the daily needs of the campus
- Strong ability to complete and / or delegate responsibilities
- Customer service oriented for internal and external teams
- Willing and able to support events as needed (outside of regular business hours)
