Field Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician who is able to travel up to 75% of the time. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site support and maintenance for our equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely service and effective communication.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer locations.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter, to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on the proper use of equipment.
• Document service activities, including repairs made and parts used, in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in a relevant industry.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, particularly an ohmmeter.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

Additional Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Able to use the computer for long periods of time.
• Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.
• Able and willing to work overtime with little to no forewarning.
• Able to run an overhead crane and operate a forklift.
• Maintain a valid passport. Able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Able to rent a car.
• Approximately 75% of the job will be travel.
• Regular attendance is required. The employee is required physically to be at the AXYZ Production facilities during their scheduled work hours unless approved otherwise by their supervisor.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
