Job Title: Field Service Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, and repair equipment or systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment failures by phone on customer sites
- Locate sources of problems by observing electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical devices in operation
- Start-up and commissioning of new equipment at customer location
- Maintain close relationships with customers, identifying solutions and suggesting improved methods and techniques
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of wear parts by inspecting parts using rules, callipers, micrometres, and other measuring instruments
- Disassemble entire equipment in the workshop environment for reconditioning or upgrading customer equipment
- Provide mechanical maintenance information and after-sales technical support
Requirements:
- Great customer service skills
- Experience as a Field Service Controls Technician (preferred)
- Strong mechanical ability and knowledge of Metric System
- Experience as a Field Technician or Maintenance Technician
- PLC troubleshooting experience (programming a plus)
- H Hydraulic control experience
- Ability to travel on short notice, Monday through Friday, with some weekends required
