What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Automated Technician Lead (1st Shift - TSS Department) position at AY MANUFACTURING, LTD.?
General Purpose of the Job:
To perform preventative, predictive, reactive maintenance as well as various design and project work to keep the facility in top operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directs the work activities of a team of technicians across all three shifts and oversees maintenance activity on the production floor.
2. Communicate and advise Maintenance Coordinator on recommendations for capital improvements and maintenance requirements for annual budget.
3. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
4. Coordinate and perform industrial electrical troubleshooting/repair/install.
5. Perform equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic) troubleshooting/repair.
6. Perform PLC programming/troubleshooting.
7. Perform robot programming/troubleshooting.
8. Fabrication, repair of tooling/fixtures.
9. Perform preventative maintenance procedures and adjust procedures as needed.
10. Perform equipment design, procurement of parts, and installation of new equipment.
11. The third shift automated tech position will be responsible for the duties of the emergency coordinator (see emergency preparedness response program).
12. Input and retrieve information from the CMMS system.
13. Must be able to make quick decisions while under pressure.
14. Be able to work and complete projects on your own.
15. Note: not all are required, but some of the above must be feasible by associate.
16. Other tasks as assigned by Maintenance Coordinator.

Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
