We have immediate per diem (PRN) shifts available for the following position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Somerville, NJ.

Requirements:

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• Required Skills: Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Anticoagulants, Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline, Amnioinfusion, Assist with vaginal delivery, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam, APGAR scores, Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Infant Identification, Thermoregulation, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Pain assessment & management, Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Wound Assessment and Care, Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Vaccine Administration, Cervical Cerclage, D & C, Tubal Ligation
