We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team in Omaha, NE. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will provide technical support and assistance to surgeons and patients during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures, including setup, preparation, and cleanup
- Develop and maintain knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes and indicators
- Manage case carts, instruments, and other equipment as needed
- Provide patient care and support during procedures
Requirements
- Required Certifications: BLS
- Required Skills: General OR, Fire Safety, Care of scopes & fiber optic equipment, Crash Cart, Drills (multiple types), Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Aseptic Technique, Instrument Processing, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure
- At least one year of experience required
