Job Overview
The Patient Care Assistant supports nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing essential tasks and reporting observations to the RN.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs and maintaining intake/output records.
- Help with personal hygiene (baths, showers, skin care, hair/nail care, etc.).
- Assist with meals, feeding patients, and ensuring hydration.
- Collect routine specimens (urine, sputum, feces).
- Perform treatments (enemas, Sitz baths, perineal care, Foley catheter care, etc.) as directed by the RN.
- Assist with CPR, post-mortem care, patient mobility, and transport.
- Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1 years preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of basic medical terminology, strong teamwork and communication skills, ability to work under pressure.
Certifications
- HEARTSAVER CPR/AED required upon hire.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
