A highly skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with expertise in Pediatrics is sought after by Aya Healthcare to fill a challenging position. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and possess the required certifications: BLS, NRP, CRT, and state licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a Pediatric setting, including adult critical care, emergency department, and other areas as needed.
- Perform advanced respiratory therapy procedures such as extubation, intubation assist, and tracheostomy/suctioning.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with conditions like ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, and more.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communicate effectively with families and medical staff.
Requirements
- BLS, NRP, CRT, and state licensure required.
- At least one year of experience in a Pediatric setting.
- Knowledge of medications and treatments, including albuterol, atrovent, bicarbonate, combivent, flovent, inhaled flolan, inhaled steroids, lidocaine, mucomyst, pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, spiriva, xopenex, aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, medihaler, metered dose inhaler, cold, handheld, heated, t-piece, trach collar, bag and mask, et tube, high flow nasal cannula (hfnc), trach collar, spirometry, bipap, flow-by, cpap, imv (intermittent mandatory ventilation), troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, assist in high risk delivery, imv/simv, intubation assist, pressure/volume ventilator, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, near drowning, respiratory distress syndrome, respiratory syncytial virus, transient tachypnea of the newborn, abg interpretation, basic ekg, chest physiotherapy: vest, chest physiotherapy, drawing arterial blood gases.
