Job Profile Summary:
Ayanti Residential Treatment Center, employs a Treatment Director to provide overall Clinical Treatment to the program, including clinical responsibility for the management of the operation’s therapeutic behavioral interventions for the youth in care. This is a full-time position. Provides clinical oversight to the behavioral health treatments of no more than 11 youth at a time. Treatment director also receives a yearly performance bonus based off performance review.
Principal accountability/Responsibilities:
- Provides direction and overall management of the treatment program including management of the agency’s therapeutic interventions and;
- Creates, implements, and oversees the treatment plans of youth receiving services.
- Ensure compliance with DFPS and stakeholder standards for all incoming, current, and past youth.
- Provides and oversees treatment services for children with emotional disorders, intellectual disabilities or children with autism spectrum disorder. Ensure all parts of treatment are being followed and implemented including therapeutic measures, education, and all other goals and aspects.
- Audits client files regarding treatment as needed.
- Assists in crisis interventions and provide supervision of treatment issues during a crisis.
- Conduct assessments pertaining to children's well-being and treatment planning, including but not limited to: suicide assessment, intake assessments, post-crisis assessments, etc.
- Prepare preliminary and initial treatment plans as well as on-going treatment plan reviews in compliance with licensing.
- Meet with leadership staff on a weekly basis.
- Facilitate and develop staff development trainings as needed.
- Provide on call consultation as needed.
- Working knowledge of TBRI and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Commitment to the mission of Ayanti Residential Treatment Center.
- Ability to communicate the mission, vision, and values of the program as it relates to fostering youth.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Education:
- LCSW in social work, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, LPC or related field required.
- Must have a Master’s Degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university
Licenses/certifications:
- BLS/CPR certification
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Treatment Director must have three years’ experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder, including one year in residential setting,
- Experience working with youth and families; CPS experience preferred.
- Knowledge of social work principles and ethics.
- Knowledge of child development, grief and loss, attachment and bonding, family dynamics, behavior management, parenting education and techniques, various cultural beliefs, practices and traditions and foster care.
- Good organizational, communication and planning skills with the ability to coordinate a variety of activities.
Other Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation, valid Texas driver’s license, and valid vehicle insurance.
- Position requires driving in personal vehicle and/or agency vehicle to include freeways and highways to satellite offices, offsite meetings, and events as needed.
- Must be able to work on a flexible schedule as needed to meet work, program, and project deadlines.
- Must pass background check, TB Test, and COVID-19 testing/screening, and submit to random drug screens.
- Submit three-year driving record
- Must work Full Time for Ayanti Residential Treatment Center.
- Must rotate on call duties.

Working Conditions:
- Work is carried out in several settings, including office, homes, and various recreational settings.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
- Mandatory attendance to team meetings once per week.
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
