We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions in a fast-paced evolving startup, including onboarding, employee relations, and performance management, with a special emphasis in supporting the development and administration of compensation structures, ensuring alignment with market trends and company goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, adaptability, and the ability to navigate complex HR issues in a dynamic setting. The position will be full time on-site at our San Jose location.

$150,000 - $190,000

Essential Functions
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Implement strategies to maintain high employee engagement, addressing concerns, and developing programs to promote career growth and retention.
- Establish performance metrics, managing the performance review process, including working with managers to assist in providing feedback, and identifying areas for development.
- Analyze market trends to develop competitive compensation packages, managing benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement compensation strategies including base pay, incentive plans, and bonus structures.
- Collaborate with leadership to determine salary budgets and allocation for new hires and promotions.
- Administer annual salary reviews and performance-based compensation adjustments.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive culture within a fast-paced environment.
- Manage employee concerns, addressing conflicts, investigating complaints, and promoting a positive work environment. Work efficiently with both local and remote employees across different time zones and geographies.
- Provide guidance to managers on employment policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the organization through training and mentorship programs.
- Identify training and development needs for employees at all levels, and implementing training programs to enhance skills and career progression
- Implement and oversee HR technology systems to streamline processes and improve data analysis.
- Adapt HR practices to keep pace with evolving technology and market demands OR Scaling HR functions to accommodate a rapidly expanding workforce while maintaining quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 6 years of experience as an HR generalist.
- Proven ability to analyze data and make informed compensation decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Familiarity with employment laws and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with compensation and benefits
