Summary of position:
Ayar Labs, the global leader in optical I/O chiplets, is harnessing silicon photonics to ​revolutionize the scaling of AI compute hardware and address I/O bottlenecks in the datacenter.

 

We are looking for a motivated undergraduate or graduate intern to join our team as a Hardware Engineer – Electro-Optics Systems Intern, to engage hands-on with novel electro-optic systems hardware including characterizing performance.  Projects may also involve working with fiber optics, photonic and electronic test equipment, PCBs, and algorithm or firmware development in Python or C.

 

Projects are tailored to your expertise and interests, and you will be mentored by a senior engineer as you collaborate with top experts in electronics and photonics to drive progress in optical I/O technology.

Essential Functions:
Work on electro-optic systems hardware including characterizing performance. Projects may also involve working with fiber optics, photonic and electronic test equipment, PCBs, and algorithm or firmware development in Python or C.

Pay Range:
Bachelor's  $39.00 - $50.00
Master's    $41.00 - $55.00
PhD           $53.00 - $65.00
