We are looking for a motivated undergraduate or graduate intern to join our laser engineering team as Intern Validation Engineer.  The laser module validation position will involve performing in-depth characterization of lasers meant to power Ayar Labs advanced chiplet I/O solution.  The goal is to advance development of our industry-first PIC-based multiwavelength laser light-sources.  By the end of the internship, a successful candidate will be deeply knowledgeable in laser test methodology, and will also have gained a broad understanding of the exciting work in a leading late-stage semiconductor startup, silicon photonics based optical I/O technology, and its place in future scaled AI compute hardware.

Projects are tailored to your experience and interests, and you will be mentored by a senior engineer as you work alongside world-class engineers and scientists in the field of electronics and photonics to help drive the optical I/O revolution.
