Senior Engineer - Product Reliability
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving reliability initiatives and implementing strategies to enhance the reliability of our semiconductor products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Reliability Engineering:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving reliability initiatives and implementing strategies to enhance the reliability of our semiconductor products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Reliability Engineering:
- Develop and execute reliability test plans, including accelerated life testing (ALT), highly accelerated life testing (HALT), and environmental stress screening (ESS)
- Analyze reliability data to identify failure modes, mechanisms, and root causes
- Utilize statistical analysis techniques to assess product reliability and predict field performance
- Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to implement design and process changes to improve product reliability
Reliability Improvement:
- Identify and implement reliability improvement strategies, such as design for reliability (DFR) and design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Conduct reliability risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze reliability data to generate comprehensive reports and presentations
- Utilize statistical software to perform data analysis and modeling
- Communicate complex technical information to a wide range of audiences, including engineering, management, and customers
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering or equivalent experience
- Understanding of semiconductor device physics, failure mechanisms, and reliability testing methodologies
- Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques, including Weibull analysis, accelerated life modeling, and reliability prediction
- Knowledge of industry standards and specifications, such as JEDEC, MIL-STD, or AEC-Q
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
- Experience in Silicon Photonics
- Experience with failure analysis techniques, such as SEM, EDX, and FIB
- Experience with advanced reliability techniques, such as physics-of-failure modeling and accelerated degradation modeling
- Experience with reliability certification and qualification processes
- Experience with reliability tools and software, such as JMP, Minitab, or ReliaSoft
