Sr. Engineer, Signal Integrity and Power integrity
Responsible for board, package, and chip level signal and power integrity. The successful candidate will own and drive Ayar Labs signal and power integrity across our photonics and electronics products. They will be an experienced engineer with a strong history of releasing products into the market, and can take broad ownership across high speed SI and PI simulation and measurement domains. The successful candidate will have experience working in structured and unstructured product development environments with cross functional as well as direct reporting responsibilities. Experience with SI/PI in the CMOS and photonics industries is a must. Experience in the optical transceiver industry is highly preferred. Experience with electrical high speed SerDes and PCIe is a plus.

Essential Functions
- Owns signal integrity and power integrity of Ayar Labs Electronics and Photonics products.
- Works with CMOS design during tapeout, bringup, and validation to ensure power integrity is met.
- Works with validation, hardware and boards to characterize high speed board performance.
- Drives pre-silicon and pre-fabrication hardware signal integrity analysis.
- Performs highly challenging SI/PI measurements
- Owns post-silicon and post-board manufacturing hush speed and power integrity debug.
Basic Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and
- 2 years experience with photonics and electronics, specifically around software development.
- 2 years working on signal integrity and power integrity challenges.
- Experience releasing high speed products into the market.
- Experience with S parameter extraction, modeling, and model integration.
- May require US Citizenship for Federal site access
- Previous experience in the high speed photonics (transceiver) industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with lab equipment, such as: VNA, TDR, real time scope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
- Possesses strong fundamentals in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory
Pay Range is $120K to $165K
