What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Elementary Teacher - Grade 1 position at Ayer Shirley Regional School District?
The Ayer Shirley Regional School District seeks a dynamic Elementary Classroom Teacher to substitute for 8 weeks beginning around April 9, 2025. The primary responsibilities of the Elementary Educator will include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Teach, reinforce, remediate, and ensure mastery of academic content with individual students, small groups of students, and whole class(es) of students
- Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards and MA frameworks
- Design and implement assessments that measure progress toward academic standards
- Use assessment data to refine curriculum and modify instructional practices
- Communicate effectively, consistently, and professionally with all students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data and student work, share instructional practices, and develop action and / or intervention plans in support of all students
- Provide support, accommodations, and attention to all students
- Participate in curriculum and professional development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions
- Ensure students are engaged and invested in the classroom, managing behavior and providing incentives
- Comply with school, district, and statewide policies and regulations
- Be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards
- Complete other duties as assigned
