Purpose of Position
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager with overall daily operations, which includes but is not limited to overseeing all aspects of guest service, cooking, sales, facilities Management, ordering, processing, and human resources. Essential functions are to cherish our guests while driving sales with a detailed plan to grow the business and manage costs. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for having a thorough understanding of “The Halal Guys” brand and maintaining a high level of quality products, managing proper US Foods orders to ensure adequate product levels to prevent outages, minimize waste, control food costs, and maintain high food quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all products meet “The Halal Guys” quality standards and in turn, guarantees guest satisfaction
- Serves as a role model for guest-first behavior according to company standards.
- Builds a team of guest-focused employees through coaching and performance Management.
- Handles all guest complaints/concerns including difficult guest situations calmly and professionally.
- Coaches team members to provide consistent execution and exemplary service.
- Responds to guest inquiries on a timely basis.
- Answers telephone in a timely manner and utilize “THG” greeting procedures.
- Creates appropriate atmosphere including lighting, music, and temperature levels
Supervisory
- Supervises store operations and supports GM’s focus and priorities.
- Reviews Business Assessments Audits and mystery shops and makes appropriate adjustments.
- Communicates long-term vision, sets the daily morale of team, and leads by example.
- Ensures all of the store’s physical property is in good condition.
- Conducts or delegates opening and closing responsibilities.
- Reviews information and communicates daily in Management logbook.
