In this role you will be responsible for developing schematic and detailed level electrical models in Revit. Using 2D and 3D model information, identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information. Coordinate with engineers, architects, design consultants, general contractors, trade contractors and other stakeholders to develop fully coordinated 3D building systems models. Participate in 3D BIM coordination meetings. Maintain and continuously improve QA/QC process and procedures. Remote work will only be considered for those who have 5 years of demonstrated success within a professional remote work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical, telecom, and equipment models and coordinate with other design disciplines, contractors and equipment vendors.
- Support the processing, development, and creation of spatial coordination models (Revit, Navisworks, CAD, Etc.).
- Drafting and development of coordination drawings.
- Drafting and development of measured drawings.
- Drafting and development of fabrication drawings.
- Maintain detailed QA/QC checklists and related documentation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress and provide regular reports to management.
- Others as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
- Electrical systems design experience, including the production of project deliverables.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Field experience, pre-construction BIM or VDC related experience in an area of concentration such as Pipe Design, Mechanical Design, Plumbing Design, Electrical Design, Structural Design, Architectural Design or Lead BIM Coordination.
- Thorough understanding of construction industry and processes.
