We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker Sales Agent to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and carriers to facilitate efficient freight movement.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with shippers and carriers to optimize profitability.
- Coordinate the logistics of shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
- Utilize transportation management software to track shipments, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify new business opportunities within the freight industry.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions to provide insights for strategic planning.
- Handle any issues or disputes that arise during the shipping process, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Maintain knowledge of NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) regulations and practices as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management or a related field within the transportation industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for all parties involved.
- Familiarity with supply chain principles and practices, including transportation planning and management.
- Proficiency in using freight software systems and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
