- Paid, full-time summer internship.
- The internship period is June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025.
- Must be based in Austin, TX.
- Will be required to work in person from the office located in the Domain.
- Make initial contact with strategically identified landowners, research contact information, negotiate financeable terms, advance negotiations with landowners and their attorneys, and maintain positive working relationships;
- Site due diligence and factual research into land attributes and project constraints (such as real estate title, political, local, environmental, and project development issues);
- Ability to strategize site control expansion/optimization, with an understanding of solar development site suitability and applicable government incentives;
- Learn priority legal terms for company site control agreements and liaise with legal counsel;
- Prepare presentation material for landowner and elected officials in collaboration with the marketing and communications team;
- Develop and own relationships with external project stakeholders including landowners, local authorities, and consultants;
- Own project status tracking and provide regular reporting to the regional development lead;
- Navigate permitting processes within project communities and communicate requirements to relevant project stakeholders;
- Support due diligence for development or acquisition projects, including summarizing project facts, perceived risks and opportunities, including quantitative assessments;
- Support and fulfill tasks in alignment with established development budgets and schedules;
- Communicate with local community stakeholders about the company's background and development plans;
- Support overall development of utility-scale projects to the successful start of construction, working with in-house and external subject matter experts;
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or industry equivalent and/or working towards a graduate degree (MBA) is desirable;
- Internship or experience utility-scale solar project development or land acquisition (preferably utility-scale);
- Demonstrably strong organizational skills and experience using project and task-tracking tools;
- High initiative and desire to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with executive mentorship but limited task-level direction and supervision;
- Able to plan, oversee, and personally execute numerous projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities.
