Government Affairs Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Affairs Analyst to join our Government & Regulatory Affairs team. In this role, you will play an essential role in advancing Aypa's mission by supporting our government and public affairs strategy across North America. Key responsibilities include monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, preparing briefing materials, and contributing to community engagement and public affairs efforts. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to support project development milestones and ensure alignment with local, state, and federal policies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, research, and analyze legislative, policy, and regulatory developments impacting Aypa’s business;
- Assist in preparing briefing materials, reports, and presentations for stakeholder meetings, public hearings, and community engagement events;
- Provide research and support for advancing Aypa’s policy and regulatory initiatives before state and local decision-makers;
- Support the planning and execution of community forums and outreach programs to enhance project support;
- Develop and maintain tracking resources for policy, regulatory, and community engagement initiatives, ensuring timely access to critical information;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with regulatory and policy priorities;
- Assist with external meeting facilitation, including preparation, scheduling, and follow-up actions;
- Other duties as required.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, energy/environmental studies, communications, or a related field;
- 1-3 years of experience in energy or climate policy, government, regulatory bodies, or advocacy groups preferred (internships acceptable);
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to distill complex information into concise and clear communications;
- Proven ability to prepare polished materials for internal and external use, including presentations, memos, public comments, and testimony;
- Familiarity with state and local policy processes and stakeholder engagement strategies;
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment;
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative, capable of thriving in an entrepreneurial and mentorship-driven environment.
Compensation and Location:
Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience;
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;

Location: Remote (USA). The ability to work in the United States is a requirement;
