- Paid, full-time summer internship
- The internship period is June 9, 2024 - August 15, 2024
- Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship period
- Will be required to work in person from the office located in the Domain
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing regulatory and legislative developments in key states and energy markets under the guidance of senior staff;
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate policy activities and strategies to internal stakeholders;
- Help coordinate Aypa's participation in stakeholder processes, regulatory entities, and regional organizations;
- Contribute to the development of policy proposals and advocacy materials;
- Attend and summarize key coalitions, industry associations, and external forums/conferences;
- Assist with managing external counsel and consultants as needed;
- Perform administrative duties and other tasks as required to support the Government & Regulatory Affairs team.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field;
- A strong interest in the renewable energy sector and a passion for decarbonization initiatives;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment;
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently;
- A proactive and enthusiastic mindset, with a focus on learning and professional development.
