- Paid, full-time summer internship
- The internship period is June 9, 2024 - August 15, 2024
- Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship period
- Will be required to work in person from the office located in the Domain
- Assist in researching and analyzing legal issues related to energy agreements, including capacity agreements, tolling agreements, and energy services/shared savings agreements;
- Support the drafting and review of M&A Agreements, such as purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, and joint venture agreements;
- Help prepare and review standard corporate contracts, including development services agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements;
- Contribute to the management of real estate agreements, including leases, purchase options, and easements;
- Participate in regulatory compliance efforts related to the power and utility sector;
- Collaborate with the legal team on project finance and tax equity structures;
- Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as required, offering exposure to a broad range of legal tasks;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from an accredited law school;
- Strong academic record with an interest in energy law, corporate law, or related fields;
- A strong interest in the renewable energy sector and a passion for decarbonization initiatives;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment;
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently;
- A proactive and enthusiastic mindset, with a focus on learning and professional development.
