Ayres Hotel Corona - Riverside is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to join our team, where you'll oversee 100 deluxe boutique-style guestrooms with mobile key entry, 1,125 square feet of meeting space, and a variety of exceptional amenities.

General Manager Requirements:
The ideal General Manager candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, and a proven ability to manage and motivate a hotel team. A strong, proven track record in hotel management, with experience leading a team in a hands-on, proactive style, is essential for success in this role. A degree in hotel management, business, or comparable hotel industry experience is preferred. Minimum two years of prior hotel general manager experience and at least four years’ experience as a supervisor. Preference will be given to General Manager Candidates who have a stable work record with at least two years with the same employer, a demonstrated record of success, and unquestionable integrity.
Job Summary
It is the General Manager’s responsibility to ensure that all Team Members are familiar and align with the Company’s Core Values and Mission Statement. By integrating our Core Values into daily management practices, you’ll help ensure that all Team Members understand and embrace the Company’s philosophy.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead by example and adhere to our Core Values, Mission Statement and Ayres Way.
- Be responsible for profit, guest and Team Member satisfaction.
- Maintain effective revenue management techniques to maximize hotel revenues.
- Establish and maintain effective payroll and cost control techniques to maximize hotel profits.
- Forecast ADR, occupancy, and Rev Par goals.
- Be responsible for overall management and leadership of all departments including sales, front office, maintenance, kitchen housekeeping and food and food and beverage when applicable.
- Create and nurture a hotel environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and passion for providing excellent service.
- Ensure guest rooms, grounds, dining room and public space are maintained to Ayres’ standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of personnel and human resource documentation based on the established procedures and requirements.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, payroll, ordering procedures and allocation of funds.
- Be visible and interact with guests, Team Members and vendors; do not be desk bound.
- Ensure all reports are accurate and submitted punctually according to the corporate schedule.
- Procure supplies and equipment.
- Be responsible for complete sales effort including periodic meetings with Sales Team Members and the Area Director to evaluate the effectiveness and direction of sales efforts.
- Maintain effective safety training and supervision to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor reservation process to ensure that effective techniques are utilized to close business.
- Maintain effective communications with Executive Housekeeper and team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency at all times.
- Maintain effective communications with Chief Engineer to ensure property upkeep and maintenance issues are completed in a timely manner.
Experience and Qualification:
- 2 years of prior hotel general manager experience is preferred
- 4 years of hotel supervisory experience is preferred
- Associates degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
