Summary:
Norton Creek, an affiliate of Ayres Vacation Rentals, is looking for a motivated and committed candidate to join our laundry attendant team! The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing laundry, assisting customers, maintaining facility cleanliness, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring high-quality standards, all while adhering to safety protocols and supporting team operations.
This is a full-time position. This position will be working in our coin laundry facility Super Suds.
Responsibilities:
Wash Dry Fold (WDF) Service Duties:
- Sorting & Inspection: Sort laundry by color, fabric, and soiling; inspect for damage or stains, and report issues.
- Operating Equipment: Load/unload machines, use appropriate detergents, and follow safety protocols.
- Folding & Packaging: Fold, organize, and package items neatly; label orders for pickup or delivery.
- Inventory & Quality Control: Track orders, verify quality, and document items needing special attention.
Coin Laundry Attendant Duties (Customer-Facing):
- Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers with machines, detergent, and inquiries; provide change or reload cards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Check and troubleshoot machines; clear lint filters, reset, or unclog as needed.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a clean facility by wiping down machines, disinfecting areas, and emptying trash.
- Conflict Resolution & Security: Ensure a safe environment, handle complaints, and report suspicious activity.
General Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols; use PPE as needed.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and assist in training new staff.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain logs for orders, supplies, and customer issues; notify management of restocking needs.
- Communicate and document machines needing repairs to supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma preferred.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant in a hospitality setting (preferred).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Availability required for accommodating weekend, holiday, and evening responsibilities.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple duties and properties simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or guest needs.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, climb push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
