Ayur Home Health is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Intake Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Intake Specialist will work closely with medical staff and patients to gather necessary information and facilitate appointments.
Duties
- Enter and maintain patient information in electronic health record systems, such as Alora PLus
- Assist with medical billing and coding processes, ensuring accuracy in claims submissions.
- Provide clerical support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with medical office management to streamline intake procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding patient privacy and data security.
- Follow up on outstanding medical collections as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- A background in medical office management is a plus.
