Position Summary Front-line supervisor of a designated team of medical assistants responsible for creating and fostering a team culture that promotes customer satisfaction, values collaboration, produces efficient workflow, and achieves organization’s goals.
Reports To: Regional Clinical Supervisor
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for maintenance and/or oversite of back-office inventory including performing counts and submitting orders as needed.
2. Member of patient care team in addition to coordinator responsibilities
3. Creates a motivating team environment.
4. Communicates organization’s expectations.
5. Coaches and directs clinical performance and teamwork to elicit the best performance.
6. Collaborates with Management team to solve work issues and improve work processes.
7. Works with supervisor to coordinate effective monthly team meetings that elicit full participation and exchange of ideas.
8. Identifies performance issues with team members and works with management team for resolution.
9. Communicates team accomplishments to management.
10. Collaborates with management for performance reviews.
11. Assists in mentoring, coaching, and training of team members.
12. Makes decisions or judgments covering routine situations, within established guidelines. If a problem is beyond this scope, seek advice or resolution from supervisor.
13. Leads team huddles to motivate daily workflow. Facilitates daily workflow throughout the day with feedback from teammates, providers, and management.
14. Leads monthly back-office meetings with staff – agenda to Supervisor 3-7 days prior.
15. Participates in meetings with other coordinators and supervisor.
16. Interaction with vendors as needed and directed by supervisor.
17. Identifies management areas of recognition and growth for team members.
18. Participates in coaching and skill building sessions.
19. Other duties as assigned.

Education Required:
- Graduation/Diploma from an accredited medical assistant program.
Experience
Minimum 2-year experience or more as a working medical assistant. Preferred 3 or more years in asthma/allergy and immunology experience.
Other Requirements
Be able to complete AAAI administered clinical study guides and pass exams on clinical issues involved in Allergy and Asthma care as required by AAAI.
